The first generation of children born on Mars will be raised in tiny, pressurized habitats by parents who themselves grew up on a different planet. If those families fail, the colonies fail. Haven raises the kids who'll become the parents who can run a household under constraint, build a marriage that lasts a hard chapter, raise kids who feel secure, and keep family rituals alive across long distances and across generations.

Apprentice for a season with a master family-builder: a midwife, a foster parent, a hospice worker, a religious community elder, or a long-married couple-mentor.
